Royston and District Angling Club manage Thriplow Lake (Thriplow Pit), accessed from Church Street, Thriplow, Cambs. The club is Members Only (no day tickets), but Members can purchase guest tickets.

The lake is ~3 acres and is accessed from a locked farm gate down a 3/4mile track. It is a mixed fishery holding a good head of roach, perch, bream, chub, and carp (F1, crucians, mirror, common and ghost) along with some rudd, ide, tench and barbel.

All swims can be accessed by car with parking behind/next to each swim. Swims are constructed with platforms, gravel and steps. The water level in the lake can fluctuate due to irrigation by the farm but this does not affect the fishing.

It is not a carp fishery. Carp are typically in the 5-15lb range with small numbers into the low 20’s. Bait boats and night fishing are not permitted.

Fishing hours are dawn to dusk all year around.
